Chris Schlarb

As the founder and CEO of DubShot Records, DubShot Distribution, and MillRock Music Publishing, Christoffer Mannix Schlarb is a pioneer in the digital music era. He is an entrepreneur on the cutting edge of digital distribution models and an early influencer in the modern music era. Both as a producer/musician and as an executive, he has held a unique and deep understanding of what makes a hit record and how technology interacts with the music business. Throughout his career he has been a part of the biggest crossover successes scene in Caribbean music and has helped usher in a new age of music monetization.

With a 25 year career at record labels like Interscope, VP Records and Ryko/WMG, and a career in the AdTech industry, Mannix has shared his knowledge and expertise to push music forward and inspire fellow artists in and out of the studio to achieve success. His love for Jamaican and Caribbean music came at an early age, and grew as he finished his bachelors degree from UVM in Belize. After Djing and touring as a guitar player for surfer reggae bands in the late 90’s and the early 2000’s he moved to New York City, and began what would end up being a long and rewarding career in music.

In recent years he has grown his company DubShot Inc. by leveraging technology for a powerful and successful core catalog of hitmakers in pop, reggae and dancehall. For over 15 years the label has grown by adopting the latest in music tech, marketing initiatives, creating co-branding opportunities, and providing unique services for their partners.
