Ethan Baer Bio

Ethan Baer is a Director of A&R at Warner Chappell Publishing in Los Angeles. He began his career in 2017 as an intern for Roc Nation Records. During his seven years at Roc Nation, Ethan worked across countless projects, including the Oscar/Grammy Nominated “Lift Me Up’ by Rihanna (from the film, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), Paramount Pictures Soundtrack for The Smurfs Movie, Buju Banton’s Grammy Nominated Reggae Albums “Upside Down 2020” and “Born For Greatness”, and helped A&R the entire label roster. In 2023 he co-executive produced Humble Soles, a joint album in partnership with PUMA, centered around the re-release of their classic sneaker, The Mixtape. In October 2024, Ethan made the switch from records to publishing when he started at Warner Chappell. Since then, Ethan has signed AZ Chike, Maddy Davis, Mike Hurst, naebird, 614Ase and more. He also works across the roster and helps A&R’s over 100 writers, producers and artists including but not limited to Teejay, Melio, Nova Wav, Charlie Heat, Hit Boy, JRM, Kid Kwazii, d.a. got that dope, TaeJaun, Doobie, Maeta, RIOTUSA and more. Ethan pitched for the Pomona Pitzer Sagehens, a top ranked NCAA Division III Baseball Program and graduated with honors from Pitzer College in 2020 where he studied sociology with a focus in media studies.
