Jamila Farwell

Jamila Farwell is an Executive Producer and creative consultant. She has been working in nonfi ction for close to two decades. Prior to working independently, Jamila worked at Netfl ix as a creative executive for 6 years. She developed and oversaw many of their most successful titles including Trainwreck, Katrina: Come Hell or High Water, jeen-yuhs, & Ladies First: A Story of Women in Hip Hop. In addition to her duties as a creative exec, in 2021 Jamila started a pipeline directing and producing program to help identify diverse, emerging talent in the nonfi ction space. She also serves on the board of BlackStar fi lm festival.
