If her definition of love is anything to go by then DJ Sunshine loves us all. For two decade
DJ Sunshine has been giving of her craft to the pleasure of people worldwide.
The art of DJing or manipulating the beats has been a passion of Sunshine's since childhood. As a child growing up in St. Andrew, Jamaica Sunshine would record her favourite songs on cassettes, using them to create mixes on the family stereo set. A past student of the St. Andrew High School for Girls, Sunshine left Jamaica where she obtained an associate degree in the arts at Miami Dade Community College.
However, art is within us, and every artist must answer the call. Her love for music trumped Sunshine's love for architecture and the people couldn't be happier. Sunshine returned home and started working the DJ circuit.

Sunshine's talent and musical mastery was quickly recognized. Sunshine was discovered by Marketing Consultant Karlene Walters, who made all the right moves. Walters connected with Irie FM's Marketing Manager Brian Schmidt, who took the time out to watch Sunshine play at a local hang-out. Instantly impressed with her style, he introduced Sunshine to the late Karl Young who added Sunshine to the Irie FM team. Sunshine joined the Irie FM family in October 2001 and can be heard playing on family stereo sets worldwide Wednesdays to Fridays 2-6pm inside "The Jam." www.iriefm.net Her pursuit of success is undeniable and her passion for perfection is unparalleled thus DJ Sunshine being one of the
few DJs to be approached by a radio station is no surprise.
'Getting a job at Irie FM is my most memorable moment because it changed my life." Irie FM has made Sunshine a household name but her destiny and future are under her control. Sunshine never stops
moving, evolving, reaching new spheres. DJ Sunshine is an entertainment staple- if she is spinning the music at some of Jamaica's hottest parties; she is the MC at some of Jamaica's top stage shows e.g. Rebel Salute, Follow di Arrow, and the list goes on. You can also add promoter to her list accolades. Sunshine successfully staged Fuel for six years.

But with all this success Sunshine seems difficult to please, evolving from one expressive art form to the next. Sunshine's trademark is now producing stellar musical beats.. As a producer she has produced number one riddims including After Dark, Wul dem, Wul dem again, Fire Starta and most recently Gypsy riddim featuring some of the best in the business.

Sunshine is just another hardworking Jamaican, doing her thing. Sunshine's constant evolution is a motivator for young females walking a similar path. Through her foundation "Yellow Moon Foundation" she continues to give back to communities and individuals But watch these rays closely; if Sunshine's current momentum is anything to go by, who knows what talent this entrepreneur may bless us with next.
