Matthew Malcolm, born Matthew Malcolm Blake, is a rising reggae vocalist from Kingston, Jamaica. His musical journey began in high school, where he won the nationally televised competition All Together Sing, quickly earning recognition for his exceptional vocal talent. Determined to master his craft, he immersed himself in the studio, collaborating with producers and fellow creatives to refine his sound and artistic identity.
In 2021, Malcolm released his debut EP REBIRTH, which introduced audiences to his distinctive style through standout tracks such as “Y.O.U”, “War For You”, and “Unholy.” His music, deeply rooted in reggae yet infused with modern storytelling, reflects both his Jamaican heritage and his contemporary artistic vision.
Beyond music, Matthew Malcolm has also made strides in film. He earned international recognition with his IMDb-certified acting debut in the Bob Marley biopic One Love (2024), portraying a young Seeco Patterson, the renowned percussionist of The Wailers. This role not only expanded his creative portfolio but also led to a 2024 U.S. tour alongside Junior Marvin and The Legendary Wailers, where Malcolm performed as their opening act.
In 2025, Malcolm embarked on a major European tour with his group The Original Rising Suns, performing at prominent festivals including Cultura Viva and Nowa Reggae in Spain, as well as Gracy’s Bash and the iconic Reggae Jam Festival in Germany, among many others. His commanding stage presence and authentic delivery captivated international audiences, solidifying his reputation as one of reggae’s most exciting new voices.
Looking ahead, Matthew Malcolm is already confirmed for multiple international festivals in 2026, marking him as a global artist on the rise. With new projects in development, he remains committed to creating music that blends emotion, depth, and unforgettable storytelling, while continuing to share Jamaica’s rich reggae legacy with the world.
