Shauna Fung Yee is an award-winning international entrepreneurial consultant, global media consultant, journalist, music business consultant, and songwriter with a distinguished media and music business career spanning over two decades.

Recognised by U.S. government officials, Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition, Eric Adams, former Mayor of New York, with The City of New York Certificate of Recognition and the Young Gifted & Black Power in Motion Women’s Empowerment Award.

Ms. Fung Yee is a seasoned media professional who built her reputation as an innovative radio programme producer, a dynamic sales and marketing executive, and a gifted copywriter. Over the course of her career, she has worked at prominent Jamaican radio stations, Hot 102 FM, KLAS FM, Power 106 FM, and Music 99 FM. She dedicated 21 years to the radio industry, beginning in 1999 and concluding her tenure in 2020.
Currently, she works as a freelance journalist and a global media consultant. Her consultancy spans diverse markets—delivering services such as building global brand equity and strategic positioning, media audits, market penetration analysis, and the design of broad, multi-regional campaigns.

Ms. Fung Yee's diverse career has enabled her to collaborate with eminent corporate leaders, diplomatic officials, and powerhouse music professionals globally. She serves as Global Director of Culture at the African Diaspora Development Institute (ADDI), founded by Ambassador Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao, as well as a publicist and marketing consultant to legendary Jamaican reggae icon Freddie McGregor.
Widely regarded as one of the Caribbean’s most skilled and influential music business consultants, Ms. Fung Yee played a pivotal role in popularising the African music genre Afrobeats across the region beginning in 2013. Leveraging her extensive radio career and strong connections with leading Caribbean media personalities and executives, she has been instrumental in distributing Afrobeats music and raising awareness of African artists among broadcasters and audiences alike.

Ms. Fung Yee has made significant contributions to the music industry, serving as a consultant, publicist, A&R executive, mentor, and brand strategist. Over the course of her career, she has generously provided free mentorship programmes and consultancy services to emerging and established artists across Africa and the Caribbean, equipping them with vital knowledge about mastering the business side of music. Her guidance has emphasised critical areas such as intellectual property, copyright, music publishing, the advantages of joining Performing Rights Organisations (PROs) like ASCAP, BMI or others, and the importance of cultivating a strong brand reputation. August 2025, marks her 21st year in the music business—a milestone that reflects her lasting influence, unwavering dedication, and commitment to empowering the next generation of talent.

Currently, Ms. Fung Yee is channelling her creative energy into songwriting. As a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), her talent has already earned international recognition, including a feature on “We Cut Keys 2”, the third album by Kenya’s acclaimed artist Blinky Bill, which was named one of MixMag's “Best Albums of 2024 So Far”.

Ms. Fung Yee is the founder and CEO of Down 2 Earth Productions (D2EP), established in 2004 and recognised as the “Caribbean Home of Afrobeats and Latin.” Since 2015, D2EP has stood as the region’s first and only music business company representing leading African and Latin American artists, as well as African entertainment agencies. As a fully integrated music enterprise, it has played a pivotal role in bridging the musical borders between Africa and the Caribbean, while also expanding into the Latin American market by connecting artists and producers for groundbreaking collaborations.

In addition, Ms. Fung Yee serves as the CEO of Down 2 Earth Agency (D2EA). A business consulting firm established in 2020, dedicated to fostering trade, investment, and tourism partnerships between Africa and the Caribbean. D2EA is a proud member of the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA), further solidifying its role in advancing cross-continental business and cultural exchange.

Ms. Fung Yee is deeply committed to community building and environmental stewardship. Through D2EP & D2EA, she has consistently advanced corporate philanthropy, partnering with numerous non-profit organisations across the Caribbean, America, and Africa.
